When Susan contacted me about photographing an anniversary session while they were visiting Florida, I was so thrilled! After photographing their wedding two years ago at Casa Ybel on Sanibel Island, they instantly became one of my very favorite JTPcouples. We never did get to do an engagement session (they had a destination wedding in South Florida, but live in Germany!) so it was so nice to do a version of that…except they were also already really comfortable in front of my camera, since we did their wedding together! These two are such naturals too, and we had the most beautiful weather the morning of our shoot! We got up early for some sunrise photos on the Fort Lauderdale beach, then headed to the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens, which is so pretty with so many gorgeous backdrops! Seriously such a gorgeous venue for shoots as well as weddings! :)
Also, at the end of the shoot they handed me a cute little wedding album book, filled with pictures from their pre-wedding German traditions, as well as my photos from their wedding day! It was so very special to receive that :):)
Scroll down to see their love captured through my lens in their anniversary session…
It was a really windy week last week in Florida…and it worked perfectly with Susan’s dress!
How cute are they!!?!
Susan runs a beautiful bridal store in Germany, her dream job – sounds so fun!! If you live in Germany/Europe, seriously check it out, it’s a pleasure just to meet this fabulous lady! :)
I think two years has only made their love sweeter <3
So many favorites…but this is definitely one of them! :)
Thanks again so much, Susan & Ferdinand…it was seriously soooo good to see you both again! I really wish Germany wasn’t so far away…but hopefully when I fly out to Switzerland next summer for a wedding, we can meet up! :):)
I tried to resist putting up too many photos, but it was pretty hard ;) Of course, so many more to come in your online gallery in a few weeks!!
