Is it really friday already? And I haven’t posted a blog all week. Well, that’s thanks to working on my website. And not being sick of working on it yet…it’s still enjoyable at this point :) Even if all I’ve gotten done is the home page. Hey, it’s been a lot (a LOT) of fine-tuning & tweaking the past few days. It’s the home page, the most important one! And when it’s being custom built, it’s gotta be just how I like it – perfect! And it’s almost there. Finally I can start working on the other pages…which hopefully won’t take quite as long! But I still managed to edit some photos today…and not just for a sneak peak! A full blog post, actually. Yes, it’s been way too long since I did one of those.
Meet Kim. I love this girl! When I found out I got into the Jasmine Star Workshop *squeal!!* (sneak peak link), and joined a facebook group of all the people going, we found & got to know each other. Well, I originally messaged her to introduce myself. And, we ended up being roomies for the workshop in California! It was great as we both arrived there around noon the day before, and so we had all afternoon to hang out & become good friends…which we definitely did! After a Chipotle lunch (my suggestion, of course! I fly to Cali & that’s what I want for lunch; I’m only adventurous in some aspects), we just spent the whole afternoon getting to know each other & talking photography. That evening the whole group had a get-together for those who had already arrived..seriously, so much better going in when you already know someone, than by yourself!
At the end of the workshop the next day, we had a bit of time, and another guy there, Charlie, lent me his 35mm 1.4 lens to try out…and I loved it! Yayy for impromptu photoshoots :)

So thankful for your new friendship Kim…and can’t wait to meet up & hang out again! Maybe have some more late-night talks till 2AM… ;) I miss you!
Side note: I’m so thankful for skype! Even with editing & blogging today, I still managed to skype with my cousin Elizabeth (who’s more like a sister to me. We were even discussing how when we have children, we will be called Aunt Jill & Aunt Liz). We hadn’t skyped in a month or two, and she just got home to Canada from being an RA at a Capenwray (Bible school) in Sweden. And it was sooooo wonderful to talk to her! We spent the better part of over 2 and a half hours catching up; oh how I miss her, and can’t wait to see her soon!! Someday I will blog about all the crazy adventures we had as kids together, all the many many things we did – Elizabeth, her sister Victoria & I. Summers growing up in Canada, we were inseparable! But those stories are for another blog post someday…
