Set-Apart Girl Conference.

No words. I was sitting in the Denver airport for 6 hours on Sunday writing this, and still no words to really capture the weekend. Refreshment, focus, revivement. A reminder of what is TRULY important. Of doing everything for the glory of Jesus Christ. As if my favorite verse wasn’t already favorite enough, it is even more now. Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

I was reminded of not finding my identity in photography, but in Christ. Of not focusing on self, but denying self. Of not having idols…where do I spend the best hours of my day? Oh, it was convicting alright. And amazing.

My favorite quote: “This job has been given to me to do. Therefore, it is a gift. Therefore, it is a privilege. Therefore, it is an offering I may make to God. Therefore it is to be done gladly, if it is done for Him. Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God’s way. In this job, not in some other, God looks for faithfulness.”  -Elisabeth Elliot

That was a true reminder to me of what I am supposed to do, & how I am supposed to do it. As if unto the Lord, not unto others…whether my husband, family or friends. So I will be focusing on that. But most of all, on Christ. This girl, she grew.

A beautiful Windsor, Colorado sunset. Completely unedited photo capturing His glory.

Some of the sweet sweet friends I made.

Then, I got to watch one of these friends, Jenn, the first girl I talked to on the shuttle ride to the conference, get baptized!  :)

Tomorrow morning, I get to see the sunrise for the third time this week. Flying out to Pennsylvania to shoot Bri & Mikey’s wedding! It’s an hour away from my parents house, so David & I are going up for the weekend to visit them as well. I’m so looking forward to this outdoor-backyard-beautiful wedding!!

Have an amazing, Christ-filled weekend  :)
