Collecting Teacups.

I’ve had a deep, deep weakness for collecting things ever since I was a little girl. I don’t even want to admit how many beanie babie’s I own owned. I also had little collections of anything dolphin-related (favorite animal, HELLLOOOO), shells, and tiny turtles…just to name a few. When we got married, David could not believe the amount of knick-knacks we had to look through – and each one was so hard to give up, to the point where David was like ‘where in the house could we even put THAT many shells???

Last weekend while in a consignment shop, I randomly decided to start collecting cute lil teacups. Of course. Hubby insisted I try and get a discount off this one teacup since some of the etching was gone & there was no name on it. The lady’s response to the no-name factor: ‘but it IS made of porcelain’ while tapping it for emphasis, as if that explained their reasoning for no discount. David’s response to this when I went to tell him? ‘SO IS A TOILET!!

Needless to say, hello Teacup #1 to my new collection  :)

Happy Wednesday!
