PASS Orlando & girls time.

How to describe Orlando’s PASS? a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

Last thursday I drove to Orlando to meet my new friends Julie Story & Melissa Bonacci for the first time face-to-face (we’d chatted & been friends on fb for a few months). And we got to hear major amazing influential photography speakers like Promise Tangeman, Zack & Jody Gray, & David Jay speak. It was so awesome meeting these people in person after having followed their blogs, and being so inspired by them!

Promise spoke on branding, and making sure your website is literally YOU, just online. Figuring out your style, and what makes you, you. She talked about creating an inspiration board – so there, thanks to my Pinterest! I was really too nervous/shy to go speak to her & introduce myself..but thanks to my friends for pulling me into a cute pic with her, below! This girl is just amazing, brilliant & inspiring. Seriously, check out her stunning website & style. And her hair is way too incredible, to even comment on how awesome it is!

David Jay – is awesome! Creator of Showit, who I am currently designing my website through. He told us all about PASS, a new way to pass your images that doesn’t involve a DVD, that I’m excited to use one day soon! I was so concentrated on taking notes on everything, I didn’t even get up from my chair but just took these quick photos of Promise & David Jay speaking.

I was also trying not to be distracted by my mom’s random texts during the night, like: ‘I just saw a deer on the side of the road.’ It just made me laugh out loud, especially when I showed them to Julie & we giggled together at the complete randomness. Thanks, mom, for making me laugh when you don’t even mean to  ;)

Zack & Jody spoke on client relationships. There was sooo much to learn from them, and Jody was fun to talk to after. She is such a sweet gal! Check us out  :)

I loved her skirt, and very much told her so. Skirts are so one of my favorite pieces of clothing! Along with dresses. Of course.

David Jay & I. I told him I’m currently working on my Showit website, and he said ‘awesome!!’  :)

Now, my dear friends: Melissa Bonacci on the left, Julie Story on the right.

After PASS, we spent the next day & a half hanging out at Julie’s hotel. Such a fun couple days! Julie & I having fun.

Lovely, beautiful ladies  :)

I love the photo on the right!!

I am a complete over-packer. So badly. Apparently all three of us were though..this is us carrying our stuff into the hotel at 12:30AM – 2 nights, 3 girls! This is after we went to the wrong building, and ran into some carts (it was a 20-minute adventure to find our room, and the start of an amazing couple days together!). Imagine, we were loaded up on ourselves before finding the carts..minus the tray of fruit, which we left in the grass because the lid kept falling off. Julie was so reluctant to leave it, I had to make the decision for her and actually order her to put it down (so I wouldn’t be picking up the lid every 6 feet), which she could barely do because by then we were both laughing so hard!!  :)

What do girls do when they’re together? 1. Have fun with make-up! Julie doing my make-up for our Thai dinner friday night.

2. Go to Barnes&Noble! Well, this actually usually isn’t what girls do all the time, after a fancy dinner at 10:00 on a friday night. But it’s what we did…and stopped at the Starbucks inside! You could say I was pretty excited about the Cheesecake Factory Godiva chocolate cheesecake. It was so yummy! Julie had a Red Velvet cupcake  :)

Julie & Melissa – thank you for such a wonderful few days! Seriously. I left Orlando feeling so encouraged, blessed, light, happy & inspired. You girls are truly so amazing, strong & women of God, and I absolutely love that!! You challenged me & yet encouraged me, not only in my photography but also in life & learning to love others even better. Thank you! I love you girls  <3

note: almost all photos taken by Melissa Bonacci. I was enjoying our time together so much, I wanted to be able to just enjoy it completely without having to worry about camera settings & everything, from not behind the camera for once. So I hardly brought out my camera…and just felt blessed being with these girlies wholeheartedly  =)
