Our Valentine’s Weekend in Charleston, South Carolina <3

David tormented me for three weeks before, talking about our mysterious weekend vacation we were going to go on and where it was going to be…which he refused to tell me. So it was a surprise weekend getaway! Thursday night we left Fort Lauderdale, driving and staying overnight in Jacksonville. In the morning we started driving…and my only clue was that we were driving North. Well, eventually we arrived in…Charleston, SC! Quaint, historic, romantic. Carriage rides, walking around downtown, gooooorgeous plantation tours, an amazing cupcake place, cold weather, a delicious steakhouse dinner (If you’re ever in Charleston, we def recommend Hall’s Chophouse, they had the most amazing service!).

Charleston has become one of my favorite places. It was seriously so gorgeous there!

Starbucks stop  :)

The walk to our room? umm YES please.

Our room overlooked the courtyard & fountain..

David putting up with me paparrazi-style non-stop shooting him, and everything…  ;)

Most yummy cupcake place…

Girls, doesn’t this store look AMAZING? All that jewelry…

On our carriage ride, seeing so many beautiful homes  :)

Boone Hall Plantation. It has the longest driveway of oaks, and part of the Notebook was shot there!

So many pretty backgrounds there…

Set up the camera for my hubs to take a photo of me. I got that headband at the downtown market for only $7, so awesome!

Gorgeous, right?

Our house-tour guide, dressed up for the part (there were no photos inside allowed).

Since it was still winter, the garden wasn’t as amazingly blooming as it wouldn’t been in the spring…I might’ve not been able to leave had it been the spring…

One of nine slave houses on the plantation.

BAM. I wanted a couple to photograph soooooo badly at this plantation, it seriously would’ve been beyond amazing.

We enjoyed our amazing weekend in Charleston so much, and would def recommend visiting. We drove back monday, and missed it as soon as we got back, though it was also a good feeling to be home. I just finished unpacking yesterday, and now have to start packing for leaving saturday for a big photography conference in Las Vegas…so stoked for that!  :):)

Happy Thursday!
